When cold temps settle in here in Lake Chelan, the fun doesn’t end. We trade jet skis and paddleboards for sleds and snowboards and all things winter related.
My family was here visiting with us for Christmas and we were looking for fun things to do with the kids. We piled them into our cars and headed to Echo Valley Tubing and Ski Hill located in the hills of Manson, Washington.
The drive from Manson to Echo Valley was worth the view. So many snow covered trees lined the road. When we finally reached the tubing hills, the kids were so excited. This winter trip to Lake Chelan was proving to be just what these kids from Hawaii needed – snow, snow and lots of snow.
Once they received their tubing passes, it was all uphill from there. Literally. Once they reached the top of the tubing hill, they pushed themselves over the edge and screamed the whole way down, except my niece Diamond. She played it cool the whole time.
I can’t say the same for these guys. They laughed and screamed their way down the hill and it was so much fun to watch.
Once they reached the bottom, they climbed out of their tubes
and made the long trek back up the hill to do it all over again.
When all was said and done, the kids had a blast and were smiling from ear to ear.
Echo Valley Tubing and Ski Hill is located at 1700 Cooper Gulch Road in Manson, Washington. Their six lane tubing hill is fun for the whole family.
